Little Red Barn of Nunica – Michigan Wedding Venue

It is my pleasure to bring to your attention one of the areas newest wedding venues – The Little Red Barn of Nunica.  Owners, Tom & Cherry Schmidt opened for business in 2014 and have had great success thus far. With the popularity of rustic wedding venues and with the excitement that they bring, it’s easy to see why!  They are a delight and you can tell that they truly love what they do. The barn is suitable for both the ceremony and reception with an official capacity of 99 people.  Your ceremony can take place outside on the hand-made benches under the shade of a large tree while you enjoy the subtle breezes of spring, summer or fall.  Weddings are booked May through October and slots fill up quickly.  One unique feature of this venue is how much use you get from the facility.  Couples are allowed to come in on Friday for decorating (though many decorations are already included) and rehearsal, have all their festivities on Saturday and have a crew return on Sunday morning to retrieve the decorations.  Plus as an added bonus, Cherry was an event planner for 30 years and is more than happy to help couples through the wedding process. There is a bridal suite on site for the bride and her party to prepare for the ceremony and pink champagne is included in the services. There is ample parking on site, as well.

Plenty of photo opportunities

As I wandered around the grounds, my photographer’s eye saw numerous opportunities for amazing portraits.  There wouldn’t be even any need to travel to another locale to get beautiful and wonderfully captured memories.  In addition to the many lovely rustic photographic vantage points, there are open fields and even an orchard in which to wander, relax and get some great portraits to remember your special day.
