A Muskegon Florist with a Unique Twist -Wasserman’s Flowers & Gifts

Spring is in the air and the flowers are in bloom!  It was a beautiful day when I headed out from Grand Haven to visit Wasserman’s Flowers and Gifts, a long-time Muskegon florist, at 1595 Lakeshore Dr, Muskegon.  To my delight I was greeted not only by helpful staff but the aroma of fresh flowers…of course!  As I photographed flowers, gift items and local food options, I could hear the staff tending graciously to walk-in customers, happily help them make choices for their floral needs.

Wasserman’s is far from being a new kid on the block.  They have been in business well over  135 years!  This speaks to the care that they give their customers as well as the quality of product they deliver. In addition flowers for any occasion, Wasserman’s offers various plant arrangements, numerous gifts, and foods from local businesses so you can have a nice lunch over-looking Muskegon Lake while you sit out on their front patio.

They offer sandwiches and wraps from Mia and Grace which you can pair with the chips from a Traverse City company, caramel corn & the like from Sweet Temptations and delectable candies and desserts from Grand Finale Desserts & Pastries.  Or perhaps a hand-crafted ice cream from  Ice Box Brand ice cream bars is more your style for a nice treat while visiting the lake.

They also offer hand-crafted jewelry from  By the Shores of -Jewelry Design and custom made cards created by the special education department at Muskegon High School and unique gift offerings from  Natural Life.  Outside you will see examples from the living roof company, Advanced Green Roof.  Wasserman’s is really offering a great experience and encouraging other local businesses as well.

While I was there, the staff was busily working on flowers for one of the weekend’s upcoming weddings.  They have one of the areas top wedding floral designers on staff and brides are sure to get fantastic, beautiful, vibrant creations for their special day.  If you’re a bride looking for a florist, schedule a meeting with Skeeter and tell him Brenda sent you!
