Hoffmaster State Park Engagement – Muskegon, MI

Celebrating where it all began

Janell and Ron wanted to go back to where it all began. Ron had proposed to Janell on the shores of Lake Michigan at the beautiful Hoffmaster State Park.  I love going to places that mean something to the couples!  It makes the images so much more meaningful.

We had to work a bit to get this session accomplished, though.  The first time we met at the park, it was one of those rare East winds and the biting flies along the shore were horrible!  We tried moving a bit away for the beach into the dune grass area, but by the time we crested the hill, the wind was blocked enough to make us sitting ducks for ALL the mosquitoes!  Ha!

When we did get back to the beach, it was a bit brisk but their smiles warmed things up almost immediately!  I’m looking forward to their wedding at the Downtown Market next summer!
